Room 1 at The Lorax Movie

All the proud 'Rito badgers' (children earn a Rito badge by being Responsible, Independent, Thoughtful and Onto it) went to the movies on Friday.  

We had lots of fun and a great time . . . with home made popcorn!  

A Big Thank you to our lovely mums who helped with transport, supervision

and the popcorn . . . yummmy . . . that was so nice!

Snow Day

A light snowfall early this morning, creates a dusting of snow and covers our school, the whole of Christchurch and most of Canterbury, today.  We had to close the school for the day . . . so kids can have fun and play in the snow . . . no, not really!  

Otukaikino Wetlands

Our theme for this year is LIFE

We went to the Otukaikino Wetlands in Christchurch to look at HABITATS of different animals in the wetlands.
We investigated how living things have different environmental needs like shelter, food, water, love/nurture and freedom.
